Knight of the Medi-Evil Dead

One murder. A week of clues. A castle full of suspects. And approximately no respect for historical accuracy.
Welcome to Knight of the Medi-Evil Dead, a gloriously daft online comedy murder mystery by playwright Chris Martin.
Think Blackadder meets Last of the Summer Wine — then add a suspicious death, a collection of medieval misfits and the sort of historical accuracy that would make a history teacher quietly leave the room.
Set around the Battle of Bosworth Field, this is history as it almost certainly didn’t happen. Expect ridiculous suspects, dodgy dealings, deliberate inaccuracies, terrible excuses and more twists than a Yorkshire country lane.
And somewhere amongst all the nonsense… there really is a murder to solve.
How it works
Receive daily emails containing video footage, clues, evidence, revelations and the occasional complete red herring.
Watch carefully. Trust nobody. Take notes. Argue with your teammates. Develop elaborate theories based on one suspicious eyebrow.
Then, on Saturday night, the suspects will be dragged before you LIVE via Zoom — an impressive piece of Medi-Evil technology apparently invented several centuries early.
This is your chance to interrogate them live.
Ask questions. Challenge their stories. Catch them contradicting themselves. Demand answers. Or simply watch them dig increasingly enormous holes for themselves.
After the interrogation, it’s over to you.
Who dunnit – and why?
You’ll have until 6pm on Sunday 25th October to submit your accusation.
Correctly identify the killer (or killers) and you’ll receive your very own Certificate of Detection, proving that when confronted with murder, deceit and complete medieval stupidity, you somehow managed to make sense of it all.
And one detective will triumph above all others…
One winner will be drawn at random from all correct entries received before the deadline and will win FREE ENTRY to our next Virtual Murder Mystery.
So gather your fellow detectives, sharpen your wits and prepare to enter a world of murder, mystery, medieval mayhem and magnificent nonsense.
Can you solve the crime before history gets rewritten again?
