How to solve the puzzle
All the mysteries take the form of a logic puzzle. If you have never completed a logic puzzle before we recommend you take a look at the beginner’s tutorial and practice with small puzzles before the event
The clues will come in lots of different formats include audio and video clips, photographs, mini puzzles and the written word.
Although in different format there are four main types of clues.
1. Direct clues: Contain clear information. e.g. Colin’s surname is Villain.
2. Elimination clues: rule out possibilities e.g. The penguin did not have a knife.
3. Relational clues: These clues tell you how things are related to each other. e.g. The person with the red hat is sitting next to the person with the blue socks. This tells that the person with the red hat is NOT the person wearing blue socks.
4. Cross reference clues: Once you have gone through all the clues in the mystery, have a close look at the grid and see if there is information you can DEDUCE.
For example: If you know that George drives a blue car and the owner of the blue car speaks French, you can deduce that George speaks French.
TIPS for completion
- Go through the clues one at a time.
- When you get to the bottom of the clues, go through them again and see what else you can deduce.
How to submit your answer
In the instruction email you will see a BIG PURPLE BUTTON. Once you have solved the mystery, click on the big purple button and enter your answers to the questions asked.
Once complete. press submit.
We can only except your first entry, so be careful to check your answers before submitting.
GOOD LUCK
